We came in with a dog and was immediately told dogs welcome,wow that's a first for an Indian place...staff very friendly,food was great and tasty,decor I questioned to the owner as not very Indian,and the answer I received was great,it turns into a social gathering place later in the evening serving food,and drinks and shows,a bit of everything for everyone's needs..definitely be coming back.

I had the pleasure of visiting Basil Spice in Basildon last night after a fun afternoon of bowling with friends, and I have to say, what an amazing find! We initially chose it because it was conveniently located near Festival Leisure Park, but it turned out to be so much more than just a quick meal. From the moment we walked in, the welcome was incredibly warm and genuine, which set the tone for the evening. The food was top-notch—flavorful, fresh, and cooked to perfection. The staff were fantastic, attentive, and friendly, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. What really surprised us, though, was the unexpected disco! What we thought would be a casual Indian meal quickly turned into a lively night out with music and dancing. It was such a fun and unique twist to our dinner plans! Basil Spice is definitely a place I’ll be visiting again, and I’ll be recommending it to friends and family for both the great food and the lively atmosphere. Can’t wait for round two!

One of the best Indian restaurants I've been to, they make you feel so welcome nothing is to much trouble the food is absolutely out of this world the meat just feel apart & so much food my sister had a lovely 40th birthday & I will be definitely going back or when iam in basildon again I will get a takeaway, thank you Adam for making us feel very welcome x

Excellent Top food warm welcome friendly manager/owner very polite and helpful. Nice clean place. Free parking but limited. So far the best Indian place I eaten fully recommended.
